weSail is a technical initiative, an alternative to traditional social networks, allowing a community of Internet users to dynamically and simply create a point of information sharing around a thematic : an expert-blog. The Beta version of the weSail expert-blog is dedicated to 'sailing yachts around the world'...

The basis of the information shared on this expert-blog is concentrated in an electronic directory (a multiform addresses registry) which is fed by the comments, opinions, discussions, exchanges that you will bring to it, intentionally or unintentionally. The directory is designed to find, organize and cross-reference the thematic data exposed (free of right) on the sites whose address you share.
The formatting of the collected information is neutral: it is not altered by any advertising, promotion, or hierarchical classification. Data verification is carried out by community members themselves, based on objective and quantified criteria determining the relevance of the information. Open to visitors, the directory is enriched (and moderated) by external contributions (likes, favorites, reports of errors or inappropriate content) from Internet users, thus allowing users to assess (or question) the credibility of the published information and/or its author.

weSail operates in a collaborative mode, allowing volunteers to become directory 'correspondent' and thus participate in content administration. To become a weSail correspondent, you must first create a free account.

In this Beta version, the race listing used on weSail to handle yachts' awards is based on a (too) simple classification method that has serious limitations. This method is pending for improvement targeted end 2025.
